This book helped answer many questions on the finer details of the tapestry-weavers book of weaving a tapestry. As an artist I understand the importance of light and shadow, but creating that effect with yarn is quite another thing.

I found the lessons were well lied out and I especially enjoyed /5(41). I think this is an excellent, inspiring book for a new tapestry weaver ready to create more complex works.

Kirsten Glasbrook's paperback nicely covers the fundamentals, but this hardback includes photographs of work from many tapestry weavers, some with details as well as the full work to show how that artist dealt with a specific issues/5(19).
